Station 87 (fromerly Sta#1)4500 Kerrick Lane
Louisville, KY 40258 Station 1 is in the heart of the commercial district and was built in 1992. This Station houses Rescue Engine 87, Quad 2241, Forestry 2271, and Ambulance 87. This station encounters the heaviest run volume. History: The original Station 1, built in 1958, also housed the Headquarters/Chief’s Office. It was remodeled to make room for the current Station. |
Station 86 (Formerly Sta#2)9500 Stonestreet Road
Louisville, KY 40272 With construction starting in the spring of 2008, Station 2 was completed in January 2009. With 4 bays it currently houses Quint 86, Ambulance 2282 & Forestry 2272. The coverage area consists of mostly residential to the east and commercial to the west. History: In 1955, the first station to be built for PRP Fire District was the original Station 2 which was located at 5417 Valley Station Road. It was relocated at Stonestreet Road to provide better fire protection east of the P & L Railway as well as giving better access to eastern sections along I-265. |
Station 88 (Formerly Sta#3)8508 Terry Road
Louisville, KY 40258 Station 3 was built in 1981. This 4 bay Station houses Engine 88, Quad 2243 & Ambulance 83. Station 3’s coverage area is 60% residential with the remaining 40% covering commercial and industrial areas of the Riverport Industrial Park. History: The original Station 3 was constructed in 1962 and located at 8506 Terry Road and was replaced with a larger station to accommodate more equipment. |
Station 89 (Formerly Sta#4)13210 Dixie Highway
Louisville, KY 40272 Station 4 is the southernmost Station in the District. It was built in 1984. This station houses Engine 89, Engine 2224, TeleSqurt 2253, and Forestry 2274. It provides fire protection to residential and commercial areas along the Dixie Highway corridor from just south of I-265 to the Hardin County line. History: Station 4 was the former South Dixie Fire District Station 1 prior to merging with PRP Fire, which took place on July 1, 2004. |
Station 90 (Formerly Sta#5)4603 Cane Run Road
Louisville, KY 40216 Station 5 is located on Cane Run Road. This Station houses Engine 90, and Ambulance 89. Engine 90’s area includes the largest chemical complexes and petroleum storage facilities in the state of Kentucky which is located along the Ohio River or better know as “Rubbertown”. History: Station 5 was the former Lake Dreamland Fire District Station 1 prior to merging with PRP Fire. |

Louisville, KY 40216 Station 6 is located in the heart of Rubbertown, which is one of the largest Chemical manufacturing areas in the state of Kentucky History: Station 6 was the former Lake Dreamland Fire District Station 2 prior to merging with PRP Fire. |
Training Division / Station 938201 Greenwood Road
Louisville, KY 40258 The Training Division was built in 1992 and is utilized for the comprehensive and continuous training program which is essential to ensure firefighters are prepared. This Division has the responsibility to ensure all personnel comply with federal, state, and local mandates. The continuous training prepares each firefighter to maintain a level of confidence and endurance by improving their skills in realistic environments. Safety is “Priority 1”, thus ensuring “Everyone Goes Home”. |
