The Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District was formed in 1950 and is located in southwestern Jefferson County, Kentucky. Our district covers 61 square miles, serving the Pleasure Ridge Park, Lake Dreamland, & Valley Station communities including the Rubbertown area.
We are committed to protecting lives, property, and the environment. We are responsive to the needs of those who live within and visit our community, by providing rapid, professional, emergency services essential to their health, safety, and well-being.
Our mission is accomplished through prevention, education, emergency medical response and transport, fire suppression, hazard mitigation, specialized rescue services, and other related activities. Members of the Fire District actively participate in the community, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently employ all of the necessary resources to provide a service deemed excellent by the citizens we serve. |

DivisionsThe Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District serves the community with 115 Full-time/Part-time Career suppression members, 4 full-time non-suppression members, 3 part-time members, and a Volunteer Auxiliary consisting of 16 members. We operate out of five Fire Stations strategically placed throughout our District to assure the rapid response to our constituents needs, and have a Training Center Facility, Vehicle Maintenance Repair Facility and District Headquarters.

WHAS Crusade FOR CHILDRENThe 70th Annual WHAS Crusade for Children came to a close at 7pm on Sunday, June 6, 2022 with an amazing total of $6,232,176.70!
From buying accessible equipment to running camps, the WHAS Crusade for Children helps millions of kids across Kentucky and Indiana. Every penny of donations to the Crusade go toward helping children with special needs and the agencies, hospitals and schools that serve those children. Fire departments across Kentucky and Indiana collect money for the Crusade and make up about 60% of the donations each year. Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Protection District led the way for the Kentucky fire departments with $202,000.00 |
